Trench Coat Dress

This couture trench coat dress takes the most familiar of outerwear codes and lets it unfold. A tabbed stand collar and capelet frame the neck, while the double-breasted front holds the line with the authority of a classic trench.

At the back, smocking gathers the waist before releasing a full skirt that flares to the floor. Three-quarter sleeves with buttoned tabs leave the wrist free. Lined in silk, the piece moves between structure and surrender.

It begins as a coat. It ends as a gown.

Designed as a statement piece, worn closed as a dress or open over a column of black.
